Camila Luna Valdivieso is a J.D. Candidate at Golden Gate University, School of Law in San Francisco, California. She will graduate from the GGU Honors Lawyering Program in May 2022. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Mills College in Oakland, California. Her commitment to social justice began at a very young age as she learned about the atrocities of the military dictatorship in Chile, her family's country of origin. Her dedication was further cemented while working with private immigration attorney, Jorge Rodriguez-Choi for eight years prior to law school. Camila has traveled the world, including Palestine, where she facilitated a workshop on emotional literacy with young adults in the city of Nablus through the nonprofit, Project Hope. She firmly believes through Love, Compassion, and Understanding we can build a better, more caring, and more just world for all of us. But we must be willing to fight for it.
